Our Youth Ministry goals: Fun. Fellowship. Find Christ.
We invite you to bring your junior high (6th– 8thgrades) and senior high (9th– 12thgrades) youth, and let us be a part of teaching your young person what role they play in the family unit and what their responsibilities are as a young Christian. Youth meets Sunday evenings from 5:00 – 7:00 PM for fellowship, supper, youth business, Bible Study, and interactive games, as well as Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30 PM for Bible Study and fellowship.
At Trinity, we teach Biblical principles they can apply to their everyday situations and circumstances. They will learn how to act and react according to God’s Word. Our textbook is the Holy Bible. We will train them to use God’s Word and how to be obedient to their parents and also to God, as the two walk hand in hand.
During the year, we also enjoy taking a spiritual retreat, which has a specific lesson plan, intertwined with games and activities.
Our youth are led by Associate Pastor and Director of Youth Ministries, Rev. Dr. Donnie Bates. He worked for the Department of Juvenile Justice as a volunteer counselor for boys for five years. Pastor Donnie was also on the team that started the Epiphany Ministry for girls and served for five years. He has been on staff at Trinity United Methodist since 2002. He holds a Doctor of Divinity.
At Trinity, we follow and support Safe Sanctuary policies.
We would consider it a privilege if you would allow us to partner with you to lead your child in the ways of Christ.
Ephesians 5:1, “We are to be imitators of Christ.”
